The Scythe is the preferred (manual) tool for harvesting grain and clearing pastures. I used the one shown below to cut my acre of wheat and my acre of oats. The scything was easy: the sharp blade / light weight passed through the grass like it wasn’t there. The bundling is another
story . . . if you find a grain cradle please let me know.
